Rick Keeley of Carlsbad won first place for a 43.9-pound yellowfin. Evan Jones of Santa Barbara was second, for a 43.5-pound yellowfin, and Al Hirst of Highland won third place for a 40-pound albacore. The winners were joined in the lineup shot by Ricky Cookson of Highland, 13.

Mike Myers of Mission Viejo won first place with a 52-pound yellowfin tuna. Bob Hunt of Oceanside was second for a 49.4-pound tuna, and Chad Henderson of Bellflower was third, for a 43-pound yellowfin tuna.

Mike Hautz of San Bernadino won first place for a 54.6-pound yellowfin. He got it in 20 minutes, after being nearly spooled, he said. He fished a sardine on a 3/0 Mustad hook, with Maxima green 40-pound line on a Penn 555 reel and a Seeker Black Steel 6470

Steve Howard of Point Loma won first place, for a 54.4-pound yellowfin tuna. Tim Nolan was second and third, for yellowfin of 53 and 50 pounds. Rich Vandenoord of La Jolla posed with the winners and his best of the season albacore, a lunker that weighed in at 44 pounds even.

The big fish weighed 107 pounds when Billy weighed it on the certified scales. It was caught by Okuma California sales manager Rick Zimmerman. He said he bagged it with a sardine on a 4/0 Eagle Claw hook, 40-pound DAM line on an Okuma Titus Gold 10S reel and an Okuma Caltalina seven foot, MH rod.

Jerry Reynolds of Cambria won first place for a 46.7-pound yellowfin. Ben Miyamoto of LA was second, for a 42.9-pound yellowfin, and Glenn Derossett of Santa Paula won third place for a 40.5-pound bluefin tuna.

Rich Vos was the first place winner, for a 66-pound yellowfin. Gary Jorgensen of Harbor, OR won second place for a 60.5-pound yellowfin, and Mike Pattullo of Napa won third place, for a 59.9-pound yellowfin tuna.

Paul was hooking up all day! Every time I looked over Paul was hooked up. Here he is with the only yellowfin of the trip.

Tyler battled this tough fish like a pro. After a long strugle Tyler got the upperhand on what turned out to be a nice yellowfin tuna. A couple more cranks and its ready for the gaff.

Frank McGuire won first place for a 111.5-pound tuna. Jason Marquette of San Diego was second, for a 90.7-pounder, and Andy Lam was third, for a 83.8-pound yellowfin tuna. Chartermistress Jan Howard wasn???t in the jackpot, but she had a 106-pound tuna, so she stood in with the winners for a lineup shot.

Bob Morehouse of La Crescenta won first place for a 54-pound yellowfin. Chris Stavaridis of Venice was second, for a 48-pound tuna, and Tony Sabatino won third place for a 46-pound yellowfin tuna.

Roger Phelps of Ojai, CA took first place with his 49.6-pound yellowfin. Dick Schaffer of Purfield's Pro Tackle in Los Angeles was second with his 48-pound yellowfin. Tom Thompson of Los Alamitos was third for his 47.6-pound yellowfin.

Phil Bruce of Ramona won first place, for a 105-pound yellowfin. He said he got it with a sardine on a 2/0 ringed Super Mutu hook, 40-pound P-Line and 40-pound fluorocarbon leader, a Cal Sheets-treated Penn 12 T reel and a Seeker 660 rod.

Supreme regular Dietmar Kruger of Santa Monica was second, for an 87-pounder he got on 40-pound line.

Alex Rogger of Steamboat Springs, CO won third place, for a 79.2-pound yellowfin tuna. Stephan Kruger of Venice Beach took the trip???s best yellowtail, a 39-pound mossback.
