Angler Todd Brinkman from Fresno, CA caught his first ever Yellowfin Tuna and won the Jackpot. Nice job and thanks for joining us.

James is back and this time with a Yellowfin Tuna.

We met in front of Point Loma Sportfishing and anxiously waited for the call to load up. We got the call at 8:45pm, and we were on our way out shortly after. The increase in water temperature really shutdown the albacore bite, but fortunately some yellowfin showed up and were willing to bite. We had a slow pick in the morning, getting most fish on the troll, then we were called in to a spot of biting fish. Here is Christie hooked into a yellowfin.

We only had 9 anglers onboard today which meant we had LOTS of elbow room. Because it was such a light load, some of the crew got to get in on some of the action. Here is Paul hooked into Mega Bait fish.

Willie decided to rig up his bass gear and give it a shot. BAM! He was bit and it was on! Way to go Willie!

Angler Angie Shanahan from Valencia, CA caught a personal best 92 pound Yellowfin Tuna at the Alijos Rocks on the Independence.

We arrived at Guadalupe Island at around 7:00 AM in the morning. It wasn't long before we started catching Yellowfin Tuna.

The weather was very nice! The fishing picked up as the day went on.
